~Bonnie Bee Pendant~
This enchanting bee was created in honour of and inspired by Dr. Bonnie Henry, British Columbia’s chief medical officer who has gracefully and cautiously led us through the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. I reached out to Dr. Henry last month sharing that I’d like to create a piece in her honour and donate proceeds to a local charity. Together we chose the WISH Drop-In Society, a charitable organization dedicated to improving the health, safety, and well-being of women who are involved in Vancouver’s street-based sex trade. Every bee purchased will help provide food, essential supplies such as clothing and toiletries, access to sanitation such as showers and toilets, educational programs, and essential support.
The Bonnie Bee’s wings are truly magnificent. An internal climbing vine filigree pattern laces throughout. This lovely bee is anatomically correct with a beautifully carved underbelly and six legs. She looks like she’s ready to take flight!
The Bonnie Bee pendant comes with your choice of gemstone eyes (pink sapphire, emerald, diamond or blue sapphire) and in your choice of white, yellow or rose gold.
Her wingspan is 1.25 inch across, her length is .50 inches.
